“Gun Control” is the fast-paced, high-octane adventure show centered around today’s discussion on firearms. Throw firearms industry professionals, athletes, celebrities and politicians together in an adventure experience with the most popular, the most historical, the coolest new firearms and it is out of control viewing excitement, all the while tackling the big issues.

Safety Harbor, Fla. (January 2017) – Leigh Simons, President of Leigh Simons Productions and GunTV Co-founder and creative director, proudly launches a new television series centered on firearms, “Gun Control.” Known as one of the most prolific and successful Boxing and MMA documentary producers in the world, Simons has created a show that combines the action adventure series gun show model with a Prime-time news show model all focused around the controversial firearms industry to create a revolutionary new television program.

“Imagine a show where guests vehemently disagree with each other on serious Gun Control issues then go on a firearms expedition together bonding through the experience, this is groundbreaking,”  Leigh Simons said. “Think of it as an edgy Anderson Cooper meets Anthony Bourdain type show with lots of guns firing and lots of opinions and facts flying.”

At the 2017 SHOT Show, held January 17 – 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Gun Control’s Leigh Simons will be on the hunt for the first eight firearms systems to appear on the television show, including the pilot episode slated to begin shooting first quarter 2017.

The companies chosen to participate will not only have their firearms handled by elite and professional shooters, but will be able to reach a larger audience than any previous platform offered within the industry. For once, the story of the gun will be told frankly and honestly, with the passion of those that designed it, produced it and for many, have carried or used it to save their lives.

The show takes viewers on a roller coaster ride through exotic locations and thrilling firearms related adventures featuring celebrities, firearms industry professionals, competitive shooters, designers and manufacturers and everyday Americans who embrace the firearms culture; whether it is the thrill of the hunt or target practice to fulfill the need for self-protection. Simons, will tackle the tough issues and alongside his companions endure the hardship of every risky adventure while keeping audiences thoroughly engaged and sitting on the edge of their seats.
