Marine Corps Veteran New Store Manager at Creedmoor Sports Pro Shop

Christopher Nolan, a Marine Corps Infantry Veteran, hired as the new store manager for the Creedmoor Sports Pro Shop at the Civilian Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama.

Anniston, Ala. (October 2017)Creedmoor Sports, the precision shooting products manufacturer and supplier, announce Marine Corps Infantry Veteran, Christopher Nolan, has accepted the position of store manager for the Creedmoor Sports Pro Shop at the Talladega, Alabama, Civilian Marksmanship Park.

Nolan served as a Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps Infantry for a little over 12 years, completing five combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. As a Squad Leader, Nolan was responsible for his team and the equipment and weapons. Nolan also attends the Jacksonville State University as a student earning a degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. His leadership and team building skills, as well as his experience in the management and logistics of weapons, optics, gear and equipment, will provide Nolan with the background to take on the management of the state-of-the-art Creedmoor Sports Pro Shop.

“I am extremely honored to offer the management and leadership skills I’ve honed in serving our country at one of the best shooting facilities in the country,” Nolan said. “The Creedmoor Sports Pro Shop is a one-shop-stop for the experienced or beginning shooter and I look forward to getting to know everyone and continuing to pass on my experience and love of the shooting sports.”

The Talladega Marksmanship Park is a 500-acre facility located just outside the famous Talladega Superspeedway. It includes a 600-yard rifle range, a 100-yard multi-purpose range and a 50-yard pistol range. It also includes 15 action pistol bays, a trap field, 5-stand, and a 15 star ion sporting clays field with automated trap machines.  The CMP Park Club house is a 13,000-square foot facility overlooking the 60-yard range and Alabama mountain views. The club house includes classrooms, lounge areas and the Creedmoor Sports Pro Shop. The well-stocked Pro Shop features an array of firearms supplies, equipment and memorabilia. The Marksmanship Park opened their doors in 2015 hosting firearms safety courses, clinics and a line-up of CMP games and match events, including a number of public and CMP special events.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is a 501 (c)(3) corporation serving our nation’s youth through a variety of programs and competitions that instill gun safety and marksmanship activities, helping to build life skills, leadership and personal growth. The Talladega CMP Marksmanship Park will be next hosting the Talladega 600, a multi-course event for pistol, rifle and shotgun that includes a variety of CMP games, some versions of the National Trophy Matches and the Dixie Double Highpower Match. This event, December 5 – 10, 2017 will also feature informational clinics during the opening days of the Talladega 600.
