Parabon® NanoLabs to Attend Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation 2018 LE Combined Conference

The Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation 2018 LE Combined Conference will be held Aug. 3 – 5, 2018 in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Reston, Va. (August 2018) – Parabon® NanoLabs, a vertically integrated DNA technology company that develops next-gen forensic and therapeutic products, will be attending the Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation 2018 LE Combined Conference, to be held at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri, Aug. 3 – 5, 2018.

Parabon will be on hand to discuss Snapshot®, a revolutionary new forensic DNA analysis service that accurately predicts the physical appearance and ancestry of an unknown person from DNA. It can also determine kinship between DNA samples out to six degrees of relatedness. This service can aid in generating investigative leads, narrowing suspect lists and identifying unknown remains.

Parabon has also recently announced the launch of its newest product, Genetic Genealogy. It is the combination of genetic analysis with traditional historical and genealogical research to study family history. For forensic investigators, it can be used to identify remains by tying the DNA to a family with a missing person or to point to the likely identity of a perpetrator. It has already lead to arrests in several high profile cold cases.

The Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation 2018 LE Combined Conference is the largest of the MPCA’s events during the year. The convention and trade show provides continuing education hours, social activities and networking opportunities to those in the law enforcement profession.
