The Gun Club of America (GCA) today announced additional training day opportunities at GUNSTOCK. The additional training day opportunities will be held on Thursday, June 14th and Monday, June 18th and are limited to 20 or fewer students. These all-day training courses will be taught by iconic industry instructors.
“We have so many fantastic instructors with unique talents teaching at GUNSTOCK this year that all the information we wanted to share just wouldn’t fit into three days,” said Gene Kelly, President of American Gunsmithing Institute and the Gun Club of America. “We decided the only way to truly do our instructors and our GCA members’ justice was to add two days of additional training on everything from Cowboy Action Shooting to Pistolsmithing and everything in between. We’re really excited to offer these additional courses to our members.”
Additional Training Courses Include:
- All-day Long Range Shooting Course with Master Gunsmith Darrell Holland: Learn how to shoot accurately out to 700 yards and beyond! Includes basic version of Holland’s Ballistic software. Students provide own rifle and ammo. Available Thursday, June 14th and Monday, June 18th.
- All-day Pistolsmithing Course, 1911’s & GLOCKs® with Master Pistolsmith Gene Shuey: This course is held in Shuey’s personal shop and many secrets will be revealed! Available Thursday, June 14th and Monday, June 18th.
- AR-15 Tactical Rifle Course taught by AGI/GCA President Gene Kelly, and AGI Instructor and Patrol Rifle Instructor Mark Foster: Includes shooting from close-range to 100 yards, use of cover, rapid reloads, clearing jams dynamically, maintenance, repair, and special accessories. Available Thursday, June 14th and Monday, June 18th. All guns and ammo will be provided.
- Babes with Bullets, all-day Instructional Pistol Course Exclusively for Women: This course is taught by 11-time Women’s USPSA National Champion in practical shooting, Lisa Munson. Whatever the student’s particular level of experience, from novice to champion, she will definitely benefit from this experience! Available Thursday, June 14th and Monday, June 18th. All guns and ammo will be provided.
- All-Day Cowboy Action Shooting by Joe Alesia, aka Lefty Longridge: Alesia will teach students how to win Cowboy Action Shooting competitions using the skills he teaches. Available Thursday, June 14th.
- IDPA Style Auto Pistols by Joe Alesia, aka Lefty Longridge: Alesia, a retired Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Range Master and Instructor, will teach the student how to move, engage targets and shoot modern auto pistols. Available Monday, June 18th. Students provide own pistol, holster, and ammo.
GUNSTOCK is a three day event to be held at the Stillwater Firearms Association (SFA) Range in Fallon, Nevada from June 15th through 17th, 2012.
