The NTOA celebrates 30 years as the leading non-profit law enforcement organization providing education and training to patrol officers and special operations units nationwide.
The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) annual Tactical Operations Conference & Trade Show will be held September 22 – 27, 2013 at the Kansas City Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The 30th Anniversary event is hosted by the Kansas City Metro Tactical Officers Association.
The conference features a general session, vendor show, a variety of seminars and practical tracks, SWAT Call-Out dinners, a 5K run followed by a Kansas City-style barbecue, an evening with NTOA Director Emeritus Ron McCarthy and the highly anticipated annual Awards Banquet which honors outstanding officers and organizations.
The exhibit hall will house 170 vendors featuring everything from the latest communications systems, firearms, ammunition, tactical gear and equipment to training and fitness aids.
Compelling and contemporary debriefs will be offered including the Alabama Bunker Hostage Incident and the Georgia Firefighter Hostage Incident. New this year is a 32-hour Manual Breaching track taught by Jeff Bonds of Pima County SD.
Each year, the popular “SWAT Call Out Dinners” provide an opportunity for students to enjoy an evening of good food, relaxation and conversation, along with NTOA directors or section chairs, and a representative from the dinner’s sponsor. Hornady will offer a special dinner including an ammo shoot and barbecue at the range. A 5K Fun Run and Barbecue are sponsored this year by Point Blank Enterprises and Tactical Electronics.
Attendees are invited to a Co-host Night event on Tuesday to be held at the National World War 1 Museum. Interactive displays and eyewitness testimonies guide visitors through one of the largest collections of WW1 artifacts in the world. This event is sponsored by Lenco Armored Vehicles.
