The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) will be headed to the center of the American west for its 32nd Annual Tactical Operations Conference & Trade Show,  to be held Aug. 30 – Sept. 4, 2015 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Hosted by the Salt Lake City Police & Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake, this conference will draw police officers from all corners of the U.S., Canada and other parts of the world.

The NTOA training conference brings together every important component needed for an invaluable experience: internationally renowned instructors, cutting edge approaches to challenges faced by officers, a first class trade show and the opportunity to network and learn from peers.

The conference features a general session, vendor show, a variety of seminars and practical tracks, SWAT Call-Out Dinners, a 5K Run and Welcome BBQ, a special event with Ron McCarthy and the highly anticipated annual Awards Banquet which honors outstanding officers and organizations.

The exhibit hall will house more than 200 top-notch vendors featuring the latest in law enforcement technology and equipment, including apparel, body armor / personal protection, communications, firearms and ammunition, fitness equipment, footwear, nylon gear, surveillance / electronics, TEMS Gear, training equipment, vehicles and WMD. Companies can register to exhibit at http://www.map-dynamics.com/ntoa2015/?register.

Modern issues demand modern responses, and new seminar-based courses led by experienced LE leaders will explore challenges faced in this post-Ferguson time, including ethics, command issues and suicidal subject incidents. Attendees may choose from 16-, 24- and 32-hour practical tracks, including HRT, Armored Rescue Vehicle, SWAT Commander II, and new this year, Passenger Rail Tactics Training. A variety of four-hour seminars will address topics such as Contemporary Command Issues, Ethical Leadership and Crisis Decision-Making. More information on courses can be found at http://ntoa.org/tactical-conference/.

Each year, the popular SWAT Call-Out Dinners provide students the opportunity to make new contacts, share experiences and enjoy a good meal. Groups will include one NTOA representative, several conference attendees and one NTOA sponsor. Individuals must be registered for the conference to attend a dinner. Space is limited and sign-up will begin on Aug. 1, 2015 on a first-come, first-served basis. Dinner registration forms will become available on the conference website on that date.

Registration for the 2015 NTOA Tactical Operations Conference & Trade Show is open to all active law enforcement officers. Active members of a state tactical association receive a $50 discount upon receipt of a state association ID via fax (215-230-7616) or email (lauragehart@ntoa.org).
