The TTPOA (Texas Tactical Police Officers Association) conference gives law enforcement officers a chance to “network,” exchange ideas and techniques, attend high quality tactical trainings, as well as see the latest and greatest in law enforcement technology.
ColorTAC technology has gained widespread attention in the law enforcement, federal and military departments for its unique ability to negate the main disadvantage of current night vision gear (NVG): the “green glow.” This green monochromatic image prevents the NVG viewer from seeing critical visual information: color. Not being able to see color is a liability that can be potentially deadly. Without being able to see color, law enforcement personnel may not be able to properly assess the scene and make correct decisions; military medics may have difficulty telling blood from water, oil or other fluids, and thus may make mistakes in triage priorities; officers can have difficulty navigating terrain. In addition, seeing color can reduce the fatigue and visual distortion green monochromatic night vision can cause.
