Sheppard Air Force Base, Next Stop on the U.S. Patriot Bravery Tour

Sheppard Air Force Base is the only Air Force Base that is home to both technical and flying training. It is the largest and most diverse training base in Air Education and Training Command.

Lexington, KY (July 2023)U.S. Patriot, a GALLS® company, and one of the largest military suppliers of uniforms, boots, and gear, visit their last Air Force Base at Sheppard AFB in North Texas. Sheppard is the home of the Air Force’s largest technical training wing and also the world’s only international manned and managed flying training program. Sheppard trains not only pilots but aircraft support, and those needed to keep military installations running.

The USP team will showcase a 2023 Jeep® Wrangler Willys 4×4 that has been making this 6800-mile, 25-military base tour to honor and support our military members. The team will set up outside the base exchange on Thursday, July 13, 2023, and offer food, drink, promos, giveaways, and more. The Jeep is part of US Patriot’s giveaway, plus $10,000 for one lucky individual. The Sheppard base exchange is located at 220 Community Center Drive in Wichita Falls. The event is open to all former and current military members and their families.

“The purpose of this tour is to meet our customers face-to-face, get to know our troops, and bring their voice directly into how we serve them better for their tactical gear needs.,” Mike Fadden, CEO of U.S. Patriot, said. “There is no better way to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women who serve our country than to meet them in person, celebrate their stories and create a fun and memorable event they can enjoy with their families.”

The tour will be interactive, and the military service members will be encouraged to leave their unit’s memorabilia on the Jeep, making it one-of-its-kind by the end of the tour. At the conclusion of the tour, the Jeep will be given away through a sweepstake random drawing to one lucky winner. All active-duty military members, national guard members, reservists, military retirees, military veterans, and dependents of active-duty military members are eligible to enter the sweepstakes. No purchase is necessary.

 About Sheppard Air Force Base:

Sheppard Air Force Base is named in honor of Texas Senator John Morris Sheppard, chairman of the Senate Military Affairs Committee before WWII. It is the home of the 82d Training Wing, which provides technical training for all branches of the US military, DoD, and foreign nationals. During the 1960s the Strategic Air Command (SAC) had training units conducting aerospace rescue schools, and weather instruction at the base, as well as, the 494th Bombardment Wing, a SAC operational wing of B-52D Stratofortress bombers and KC-135A Stratotanker aircraft.

Besides being home to the 82nd Training Wing, it is home to the 80th Flying Training Wing which produces NATO pilots in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program. Officers from thirteen participating nations fill subordinate leadership positions in the wing and nine nations provide instructor pilots based on the number of their student pilots.
