The Independent College Fund (I-Fund) of Maryland, a non-profit organization established to advocate on behalf of and raise funds for Maryland’s Independent member colleges and universities, raised over $40,000 in cash and $100,000 in gifts-in-kind at its Eighth Annual Evening of Excellence, held at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, MD on Wednesday, October 27th, 2010. The net proceeds from the event will be applied to the I-Fund Leadership Scholarship; a $5,000 scholarship for a student leader on each of the I-Fund’s 10 member campuses. Over 200 guests, including dozens of I-Fund scholars, attended the event, which commemorates partnerships among the private sector, non-profit, federal government and the I-Fund independent colleges and universities.
