American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI), producers of the most authoritative Gunsmithing DVD courses, has put together one of the most exciting Instructor-led, hands-on workshops with “Look over Master Pistolsmith Gene Shuey’s Shoulder.” This one-of-a-kind workshop will be delivered by one of AGI’s Senior Instructors, Master Pistolsmith Gene Shuey at his Gunsmithing shop in Carson City, Nevada, Friday, May 29 – Saturday, May 30, 2015.

Shuey combines his nearly 50 years of Gunsmithing experience with his custom gun building business, and his experience as a world-class competitive shooter, to deliver a workshop that truly demonstrates Gunsmithing as a science and art in harmony. The course, which took three years to develop, has been carefully crafted to ensure maximum retention and deliver an optimal learning experience by blending workshop instruction with real world hands-on training.

The first day of the workshop will begin with introductions and then move on to a complete review of the course outline and learning objectives, with a short safety review. An in-depth session on balancing springs for reliability and softer recoil will follow. Next there will be a “how-to” on making a light trigger job last indefinitely. Friday’s catered luncheon provides students time to network and get specific questions answered by a real subject-matter-expert. Friday night will also feature a reception and dinner.

In addition to core curriculum of this workshop, Shuey will take students on a detailed tour of his shop, explaining each station, the layout and why he did it that way. Two one-hour optional question and answer sessions are integrated into the workshop.

The workshop is limited to 15 attendees. All attendees must be AGI Professional Gunsmithing students or AGI Alumni and must have successfully passed the pistol section of the course prior to attending the workshop. The fee to attend is $2,595 and includes the attendance for the 1.5 days of hands-on training at Shuey’s custom Gunsmithing shop, as well as all workshop functions and events. Purchase an AGI Master Gunsmithing Course and AGI will waive the entire $2,595 workshop registration fee. This is a first-come, first-serve offer.

Call AGI at 1-800-797-0867 to reserve a spot. For more information, please download the brochure.
