American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) welcomes Vanlee Waters aboard as AGI’s new Marketing Director. Mr. Waters, as the new Marketing Director of AGI, will work closely with Gene Kelly, Founder and President of AGI, and Chuck Pope, VP of Marketing. Mr. Waters will work to ensure AGI receives 25 to 35% growth annually and will be responsible for marketing at AGI.

Mr. Waters comes to AGI with a wealth of experience in marketing and has demonstrated success at a number of companies with increasing marketing responsibilities. He spent a number of years at Intuit in the Bay Area as a Product Manager where he contributed to their considerable growth, including launching their first e-Learning Certification Course for QuickBooks, which increased Intuit’s Pro-Advisor (CPA) membership by 100% within 12 months of launch and increased training revenue from $3M to $9M within the same time period. At Align Technology, as Marketing Manager, Mr. Waters helped launch Invisalign to General Practitioners (Dentists), generating an incremental $31M in annual sales (combined product and training revenue). Most recently, Mr. Waters worked with Dow Pharmaceutical and contributed to their significant 20% revenue increase in Contract Services business. He is an MBA graduate of the University of San Francisco, with a BS in Environmental Sciences from San Jose State University.
