Today, Ballistic Case Co., provider of industry-leading protection for smartphones and tablets, launched Hard Core Tactical, its first line of protective cases designed specifically for the grueling requirements of military and law enforcement personnel.

Also at the SHOT Show this week in Las Vegas, Ballistic officially announced a strategic partnership with Tacprogear (TPG) to develop professional-grade protective cases and other mobile device accessories for military personnel. TPG – a leading manufacturer of tactical equipment, including apparel, armor, bags and packs, pockets and pouches, footwear and accessories – will advise and collaborate with Ballistic on products for the military channel.

“This agreement with TPG is very important as we design and build protective solutions for some of the toughest jobs in the world – military and law enforcement,” said Jason Naylor, president of Ballistic. “TPG’s leaders have long track records and well-earned credibility in the military and tactical segments.”

“This partnership is a perfect fit and we are excited to get started,” said Loren Simpson, president of TPG. “In my work building battle-tested solutions for military and government procurement, you can tell when a company is truly dedicated to engineering purpose-built protection that users can rely on, day in and day out. Ballistic definitely fits that requirement.”

With more than 20 years of combined experience, Ballistic’s dedicated team of engineers is passionate about “Perfecting Protection” for high-tech, valuable personal devices. Ballistic’s expert engineering allows users to select the case that fits their lifestyle and helps save their smartphones from expensive mishaps, like cracked screens, scratches and even water damage.

Ballistic’s new Hard Core Tactical line will offer:

  • 12 feet of certified drop protection to concrete;
  • Integrated springs designed to absorb shock on impact;
  • Scratch-resistant screen protection;
  • Ballistic Corners© and raised lips to protect against corner drops, surface shocks and scratches;
  • Four-layer design;
  • An IP-54 rating for protection against dust, dirt, debris and water;
  • A rugged holster with 200-lb. pull strength, assembled with aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel components.
