CAA USA today announced Edward Inzauto as the 2015 “Best Dad in the USA” contest winner. Inzauto’s winning photo was selected from tons of entries, winning a CAA USA gift certificate valued at $500 for his father. The photograph captures his father Sal, a Vietnam combat veteran plinking soda cans with an old .22 rifle. Sal’s father was awarded two Bronze Star Medals by the U.S. Army, each with an accompanying Valor Device for “participation in acts of heroism involving conflict with an armed enemy.”

“My dad had only just turned 22 years old when he joined the 1st Calvary Division on the Cambodian Campaign, deemed by many, including President Nixon and General Abrams, to be ‘the most successful military operation of the entire war,’” commented Inzauto on his winning photo.

He continued, “He taught me everything he could, from math to home improvement, and built a good life for our family, coming from nothing – an immigrant who once shared a one-room home with his parents and four brothers. He’s always been there for me, and has never faltered. Not once.”

“We had so many wonderful entries into our first Father’s Day contest that it was hard to choose a winner, but in the end we couldn’t be happier for Edward and his father Sal. Their story and photograph embodies exactly what this contest was all about and we hope they enjoy their gift certificate; we know they’ll find exactly what they need in our online store,” commented Bill Silver, vice president of sales for CAA USA.

The “Best Dad in the USA” contest ran from June 8 – June 19, 2015 through CAA USA’s Instagram account. Participants had to post a photo to Instagram tagged to @command_arms_accessories with hashtags #CAAUSA and #dadusa. Captions had to include information on why their Dad was the best in the world and why he deserved the prize.
