Cimarron Firearms Sequel to the “Bad One:” El Malo 2

Keeping the fun in shooting cowboy action style, Cimarron Firearms introduces the latest in the popular El Malo line-up: El Malo 2 in .45LC.

Fredericksburg, Texas (March 2019) Cimarron Firearms, a leader in authentic replicas from America’s Old West, is proud to expand on the popularity of its octagon barreled single-action six-shooter, El Malo, with the new El Malo 2 in .45LC.

Built upon the design of an 1873 Colt Single Action Army, the original El Malo, Spanish for the “The Bad,” was designed by Cimarron and manufactured by Pietta in Italy. The El Malo 2 continues on that same path with a few nice upgrades.

This new model from Cimarron is chambered in .45 COLT, a favorite, easy to find and affordable round for hunting shooting or cowboy action competition, and features a beautifully case colored, pre-war frame, a 4 ¾” octagon barrel, fixed iron front sight, and frame-notched, 1880-style rear sight.

The action is smooth, the trigger is crisp and the low wide competition hammer makes it a pleasure to shoot. The one-piece walnut grip is finely checkered, featuring a laser-carved Cimarron Rider logo and is hand-pleasing to hold.

Bryce Wayt, VP of operations said, “Cimarron will be adding a .357/38 Special version, a variety of barrel lengths and a Thunderer style birdshead gripped model in the very near future.”

El Malo 2 has an MSRP of $760.50.
