International Training Inc. – Virginia Facility to Teach One Day Instinctive Driving Course on October 26th, 2013

International Training, Inc. ( ITI), a training company of G4S GS, and providers of benchmark security training programs to the U.S. Government, U.S. Military and corporate America, is teaching a One Day Instinctive Driving Course at its Virginia Facility on October 26th, 2013. The Instinctive Driving Course is designed to familiarize students with concepts and techniques to help them avoid a crash or minimize the damage of an imminent collision. The emphasis of the course is to replace poor driving habits with good ones. Students who complete the course will have a better understanding of their capabilities and the capabilities of vehicles.

Highway_AvoidanceThe following topics will be taught in the course:

  • Safety
  • Proper Use of Eyes
  • Managing Sensory Overload
  • Steering Management
  • Understanding Vehicle Language
  • Knowing the Importance of Tires and Proper Tire Care
  • Effective Braking (conventional and ABS)
  • Off-Road Recoveries
  • Backing Drill

The One Day Instinctive Driving Course’s intended audience should be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license. Training will commence at 8:00 am with classroom instruction and will end at 5:00 pm with practical exercises. There will be a one hour lunch break included. Upon completion of the eight hour course, students will receive a certificate.

Students are required to bring eye protection (clear and shaded lens recommended), snacks and rain or inclement weather gear. ITI recommends that students wear comfortable shoes (no toeless), long pants and a long sleeve shirt (weather dependent).

The cost of the course is $500 for U.S. Government employees and $554 for civilians. A minimum of six registered students is required to run the course with a maximum of 12 students.
