MG Industries, manufacturer of the modular MARCK-15 AR Hydra platform, will be introducing an exciting new change that will transform the popular Hydra platform at the 2016 NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibit: the patent-pending MGI® Transforming Handguard. This transforming rail system is a great handguard replacement for the Quick Change Barrel Upper Receiver (QCB-D). MGI® will be exhibiting at the 2016 NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibit at booth 2357 from May 20 – 22, 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The MGI® Transforming Handguard measures 11.5” in length and can be used with carbine, mid and rifle length barrels. The Transforming Handguard is made from 7075 Aluminum with T6 Mil-Spec black hard coated anodizing with a built-in Picatinny Rail system across the top and includes five integral quick detach points. Going with the modularity of the Hydra platform, the user will be able to choose any combination of panels to customize the handguard the way he or she wants it. Customers won’t be limited to a single rail system; instead, a modular rail system has been designed to attach different types of accessories.

A combination of select Modular Transforming Panels are available, including the KEYMOD Aluminum Panel, M-LOK Aluminum Panel, SNAKE SKIN Polymer Panel and FRAG Polymer Panel. By having Modular Transforming Panels, it leaves the ability for future rail systems as they become available.

The MGI® Transforming Handguard will come with a 3/32” Allen Wrench and screws so it can be attached to the QCB-D and to attach Modular Transforming Panels to it.
