MORPHIX TECHNOLOGIES® RAISES $167 FOR TEAM HOT FRITATAS OF THE 2012 KOMEN TIDEWATER RACE FOR THE CURE®

Susan G. Komen Tidewater Race for the CureMorphix Technologies®, an innovator in the science of colorimetric detection devices for toxic gases, today announced the fundraising results for Team Hot FriTaTas, Morphix Technologies’ participating team of employees, in the 2012 Komen Tidewater  Race for the Cure®.  One dollar was donated for every new fan that “liked” the Morphix Technologies Facebook Page by October 12th, 2012 to Team Hot FriTaTas (up to $500). The fundraiser ran for just over one month, aiding Morphix Technologies in successfully gaining 167 new “likes” and providing $167 toward Team Hot FriTaTas and the 2012 Komen Tidewater Race for the Cure®. Overall, the team, which consisted of Morphix Technologies chemists Jacqueline Ware (Team Captain), Deborah Foy, Hazel Anderson, Elijah Jung and Keith Sutyak, raised $317 to contribute toward the cause.

“We are very happy to be able to raise $167 through our Facebook fundraising campaign to donate to such a worthy cause as breast cancer research, funding and awareness through the 2012 Komen Tidewater Race for the Cure®,” remarked Kim Pricenski, VP of Sales and Marketing for Morphix Technologies. “This is the second organization we have been able to help out through our Facebook community and we are just so proud of our employees for participating in this event and bringing awareness to a disease that has affected over 225,000 new women in the United States this year alone.* We hope our fundraiser and Team Hot FriTaTas’ efforts were able to bring in additional attention for the 2012 Komen Tidewater Race for the Cure®.”
