The National Association of Police Equipment Distributors (NAPED) and PoliceOne.com, a Praetorian Digital online platform, will be holding a Retailer Seminar on Police Grants during the 2019 SHOT Show.
New Bern, N.C. (December 2018) – The National Association of Police Equipment Distributors (NAPED) and PoliceOne.com, a Praetorian Digital learning and content platform for local government and public safety will be holding a Retailer Seminar entitled “Law Enforcement & FFL Grant Workshop” on Thursday, January 24, 2019 during the SHOT Show at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This “Police Grant 101” overview course is open to law enforcement personal and retailers and will be held January 24th at 2:45 pm – 4:45 pm on Level 4 in the Lando ballroom 4205. Sarah Wilson, Vice President of the Grant Division at PoliceOne.com will lead a highly informative discussion on the basics of law enforcement grants, how agencies should prepare for grant applications, the types of grants that most commonly fund police agencies and the federal funding landscape for law enforcement in the current fiscal year. Additionally, this first-time offered seminar will also cover how to make sure your company maintains compliance when it comes to participating in the grant bid process.
Ms. Wilson joined PoliceOne.com in 2007 and started the Grants Division in 2009. The mission of the Grants Division is to provide a comprehensive resource for grant information and assistance. Wilson’s team is responsible for generating $200M in funding and currently servicing a network of 60,000 departments and municipalities seeking grant help.
“The grants for law enforcement are out there for police agencies to be able to provide their officers with the best and latest products from body armor and cameras to vehicles and life-saving equipment, but many agencies are ill equipped to understand, let alone take advantage of the funding, and this seminar will initiate that learning process,” Wilson explained.
PoliceOne.com held a Police Grants 101 seminar at the 2018 NAPED Annual General Meeting which was met with great response and an expressed desire from NAPED members to host this kind of educational and informative seminar at the largest gathering of industry manufacturers and retailers, the SHOT Show.
