IWI US, Inc. a subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd., announces the airing of the “Shooting Gallery” with host, Michael Bane, highlighting his visit to Israel Weapons Industries (IWI) in Tel Aviv, Israel, the home of the TAVOR® SAR, UZI® and Galil® weapons. The two-part series focuses on the history of IWI and the relationship between the company and the Israeli Defense Forces; a relationship that greatly shaped the development of a variety of world-renowned weapon systems. The first episode (#194) will air on the Outdoor Channel Wednesday, March 18 at 5 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. ET and on March 19 at 12:00 a.m. ET.

“War shapes people and people shape weapons,” says Michael Bane as he opens up the IWI episode explaining how and why the largest firearms manufacturer in Israel has developed some of the most iconic firearms platforms used by military, law enforcement and sport shooters today.

Bane explains the TAVOR® SAR’s illustrious history, and how it has become the hottest selling rifle platform in America. He gives his viewers an inside look at the factory and people at IWI. He interviews Uri Amit, CEO and President of IWI and Zalmon Shebs, Research and Development Director of IWI to understand what the IDF requirements had to do with shaping the type of weapons systems used, not only by the IDF, but forces around the globe.

“Michael Bane’s documentary will give TAVOR® fans an insider’s look at one of the most unique firearms manufacturing facilities in the world,” Michael Kassnar, Vice President of IWI US explains. “Even if you are not a TAVOR® fan, the history and ground-breaking weapons development programs at IWI are enough to engage any firearms enthusiast.”
