Revision, leading developer of protective eyewear for military and law enforcement forces worldwide, calls for 2011 nominations towards their Remarkable Heroes program. Founded one year ago, ‘Revision Remarkable Heroes’ is an initiative that recognizes military service members and law enforcement officers for their extraordinary actions. Last year three members were inducted into its ranks: a law enforcement officer from Illinois, a soldier from the Canadian Forces, and a U.S. Marine. This year, the company looks to its end-user community on Facebook to nominate the everyday heroes in their midst.
“The Revision Remarkable Heroes program is our way of giving visibility to the moms, dads, brothers, and friends who keep our countries and cities safe,” explains Jonathan Blanshay, CEO of Revision. “We know their line of work is sometimes a thankless one with everyday acts of heroism simply part of the job. We hope the Remarkable Heroes program will help change that by providing the forum to share their inspirational stories.”
The call for nominations opens today and will run until October 28. A panel of Revision team members and retired military advisors will then help select the nominated finalists, with their stories posted for fan final review. To participate in the nomination and finalist review process, become a fan of Revision by ‘liking’ them on Facebook and click on the Remarkable Heroes tab.
