Social Media Reload

Gone are the days of newspapers, magazines and network television. Social media is today’s top source for news, entertainment and information. But with the quick pace of trending topics and 140-character updates, unless you live online you’re bound to miss something. Luckily for you, that’s my job! The Social Media Reload features the most popular, interesting, entertaining and controversial content in the firearms and outdoors industry from the past week and repackages it into a quick list with a bang. Read on and see what you missed this week.

Shooting a Uzi is fun the way it is, but when you add a moving vehicle to the equation the level of fun had is exponential. Good ole’ Hickok45 had some fun with his Uzi before the Thanksgiving holiday, performing full auto drive-bys from the seat of his truck, bicycle and John Deere tractor, because of course. No one said the Uzi was incredibly accurate, but it damn well is effective against these pesky 2-liters. Our favorite part is how casual he makes it look, as if he does this type of thing daily (who are we kidding, he probably does). Watch until the end for slow motion.

Richard Ryan of FullMag must really hate his Ford F-150. After suffering paper cuts from some .22LR and a .50 Cal BMG, Ryan turned it up a notch—or 50—and took aim with a German 7.5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 40 anti-tank gun used during World War II. As you’d expect, the projectile completely destroys the truck’s engine in a ball of fire. The good news is, if you’re in need of a 2004-2012 F-150 alternator, Ryan’s got you covered. (via Guns.com)

We’ve shared a video from Dude Perfect in a previous Social Media Reload, but this one gets back to their Texas roots. Led by Ty, who appears to be the most experienced shooter, the guys perform random trick shots involving everything from their usual basketballs to clay targets, balloons and more. Whether splitting a bullet in half to hit two targets, shooting a rifle while taking a selfie, or “curving” a bullet, Dude Perfect proves just how fun and competitive guns can be. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next! (via OutdoorHub)
