If you’ve been on YouTube any time in the past month, you’ve likely been recommended to watch a video involving a hydraulic press and a random item. Channels like the cleverly-titled Hydraulic Press Channel and PressTube have been racking up millions of views as they crush everything from the softest of fruit to the hardest of diamonds. Some items in particular though, like a WWII-era grenade and various bullets, have caught the eye of the firearms industry. What do you want to see get crushed? (via OutdoorHub)

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXcKEu72RCk?rel=0] MORE CHEESE PLEASE
Even if you’re not a fan of cheese balls—like me—you can’t deny they just beg to be thrown or shot out of a barrel. Luckily for us, YouTuber NightHawkInLight got his fingers dirty and built a cheese ball “machine gun” using a modified leaf blower, PVC pipes and a basic understanding of fluid dynamics. So why build such a cheesy device? As NightHawkInLight opens the video, “If you need to ask why anyone would want a cheese ball machine gun, you should probably turn back around now.” (via Guns.com)

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4FqEEgq9eA?rel=0] IS CARHARTT BULLETPROOF?
Rugged, durable and warm, Carhartt makes some of the finest working-man jackets on the market. However, if you ask the NYPD officers involved in the recent shooting of a knife-wielding man, they might say it’s too rugged. The New York Post reported earlier this week that officers fired nine shots at the man, four of which failed to penetrate his Carhartt jacket, raising the question, is Carhartt bulletproof? But, before you go grab your jacket from the closet, YouTuber Shooting The Bull put a new coat to the test with disappointing, but unsurprising results. So what gives? Well, the Post has since reported the department is looking into malfunctioning ammo.
