Team International Training, Inc. (G4S ITI) members Morgan Allen and Gary Byerly had a very successful match at the SC Sectional Championship, held in Gaston, SC March 31st, 2012. Allen won the Limited-10 Division, while Byerly took home third in the Single Stack Division. Within his division, Allen won 1135.6187 out of 1145 available stage points and seven out of ten stages. “The 2012 SC Sectional match featured a great collection of stages designed and lead by Jack Suber and team. No different than in prior years, this match brought in a good group of shooters, testing everyone’s ability to run longer field courses and remain crisp on shorter tests,” commented Allen. “Being able to adapt, whether between different tests of skill within individual stages, the same match, or different shooting sports from one weekend to the next, places training fundamentals at the forefront.”
Byerly added, “The 2012 SC USPSA Sectional returned to the familiar confines of the Mid Carolina Rifle Club. Ten exciting stages with a multitude of options made for a challenging match. Being able to shoot with my teammate Morgan Allen was invaluable to formulate strategy and weigh options. USPSA is all about maximizing hit potential while minimizing time and we we’re able to make some good decisions and execute them. Congratulations to Morgan for his division win and to all the other winners. The staff did an excellent job in some tough conditions and deserve everyone’s thanks. I can’t wait until next year!”
Allen can be seen competing next at the AL State IDPA Championship held at the MIDPA – Central Alabama Gun Club in Montgomery, AL April 21st, 2012 to defend his title as reining Division winner (2011, 2010). Byerly’s next competition will be at the USPSA / 1911 Society Single Stack Classics held at PASA Park in Barry, IL May 2nd through 5th, 2012.
