Reno, Nev. (September 2023) – Two major nonprofit organizations have announced a strategic partnership that spells bad news for criminals who engage in human trafficking. According to Mike Marty, CEO of the Retired Investigators Guild (the RIG), “This partnership represents a first ever blending of some of the world’s top criminal investigators with the world’s most technologically advanced cyber warriors, now united in the fight against human trafficking.” Marty continued, “The RIG is a nationwide network comprised of the very best retired and former homicide, cold case, and human trafficking investigators. They have volunteered their expertise to get back into the fight to rescue victims of human trafficking and to go after the criminals who commit these heinous crimes, no matter where in the world they may be hiding.”

The collective expertise and diverse backgrounds of the RIG and ATII enable the organizations to approach the complex issue of human trafficking from various angles, combining intelligence and technology with operational strategies.

Larry Cameron, Chief Information Security Officer for the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative (ATII), said, “ATII has brought some of the most innovative ways in combating trafficking to financial institutions. These men and women are experts at following the money and zeroing in on the vicious criminals who prey on women and children by trapping them in the underworld of human trafficking and selling them into slavery under the most horrible conditions imaginable. We have also made large strides in Darkweb Intelligence, Blockchain Forensics and Open-Source Intelligence and trained thousands of agencies including the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces to be able to confidently navigate these technologies, bring criminals to justice and rescue victims.”

ATII, a US-based nonprofit organization, focuses on the prevention, detection, investigation, and reporting mechanisms related to human trafficking. Team members of ATII come from various fields and industries, including but not limited to corporate social responsibility, financial services, military intelligence, general technology, and OSINT and security. The collective expertise and diverse backgrounds of ATII team members enable the organization to approach the complex issue of human trafficking from various angles, combining intelligence and technology with operational strategies.

Both the RIG and ATII are registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Through their collaboration they plan to align in their joint mission to help detect and prevent modern slavery.
