THE GUN CLUB OF AMERICA AND THE AMERICAN GUNSMITHING INSTITUTE TEAM UP WITH THE PATHWAY HOME FOR 2012

The Gun Club of America (GCA), the fraternity for firearm enthusiasts, and its parent company American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI), have teamed up for 2012 in a joint partnership with The Pathway Home, a non-profit, residential recovery program for veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars who deal with the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

The Pathway Home is a program specifically created for and dedicated to serve our nation’s “New Warriors” – those who have served in our nation’s global war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq who suffer from PTS, TBI and other combat-related or social transition challenges. In the last three years, The Pathway Home has treated 300 warriors (active duty, National Guard, Reserve and recently-discharged veterans) and has provided support and treatment for more than 120 of these warriors’ families.

The Pathway Home is the only program of its kind in California licensed as a Social Rehabilitation Facility and certified by the Department of Mental Health to operate a residential treatment program for PTS and war-related TBI.

GCA and AGI have teamed up with The Pathway Home to help spread their mission through the GCA and AGI websites, as well as featured articles in the upcoming Gun Tech and Hot Brass magazine. In addition, a portion of proceeds from purchases made from AGI will go toward funding The Pathway Home.

“We are delighted about our new partnership with the Gun Club of America and the American Gunsmithing Institute,” commented Founder and Executive Director of The Pathway Home Fred Gusman. “This new partnership further supports our commitment to our veterans and our industry. We are very excited about these organizations’ abilities to help us expand our brand awareness and raise critical funding to help treat our nation’s warriors as they adjust to life back at home.”

The Pathway Home will also receive a portion of the proceeds from sales of the commemorative posters at the GCA’s largest event for 2012, Gunstock, which will be held June 15-17, 2012 in Fallon, Nevada.

The Pathway Home is a Tides Center Project (Tax Identification 94-3213100) and relies solely on private donations to fund its clinical staff and treatment programs. Secure donations may be made through the official web site, www.thepathwayhome.org, or a check may be made out and mailed to The Pathway Home, P.O. Box 3930, Yountville, CA 94599.

The Pathway Home will be making a special appearance at SHOT Show in the AGI/GCA Booth.
