Big Game International, the parent company of the South Bend brand and its Mudville Catmaster product line, announced today that it’s celebrating the launch of an all-new line of Mudville Catmaster fishing tackle with an online photo contest, in which the winner will receive a trip to savor the night life in New Orleans, LA.

“For people who love catfishing and who love the night life, it doesn’t get much better than a free trip to New Orleans,” said Scott Griffith, Vice President of Marketing for Big Game International.  “The Cajun restaurants there serve some of the finest catfish dishes anywhere in America, and of course the night life in The French Quarter is second to none.  The trip will include dinners at some of the best restaurants in New Orleans, travel and hotel expenses, and of course a variety of night life activities in this great city that will provide an unforgettable experience for our lucky winners.”

The contest celebrates the launch of an all-new line of Mudville Catmaster products, including a series of items with glow-in-the-dark features called Mudville Catmaster Nightlife.  This new product line will be a welcome addition for anglers who fish in the evening / after-dark hours—a common occurrence for catfishers, 51% of whom fish during this time period, according to a recent survey.[1]  The new product line includes Nightlife Combos, which sport special glow tips to ensure anglers can see bites in low light conditions, as well as an all-new series of glow-in-the-dark dip lures.  The line is rounded out by two brand new accessories that make fumbling for tools a thing of the past:  9” glowing catfish pliers and belt sheath, and a filet knife and sheath set which also glow in the dark.

To enter, contestants can go to www.mudville.net, and post a picture of a catfish they’ve caught this season.  Prizes, including new Mudville Catmaster fishing tackle and accessories, will be awarded each week for the best photos.  Visitors to the website will also be able to vote for their favorite picture—and the top 20 vote getters will compete for the trip to New Orleans.  Mike D, the host of the TV program South Bend’s Lunkerville, will select the grand prize winner from the top 20 photos after the contest ends on August 31stThe winner will be notified, and the marketing staff from Mudville Catmaster will work with the lucky winner to arrange dates and activities for the trip.

“This will be a fun contest for anyone who loves catfishing,” Griffith said.  “We can’t wait to see the photo entries from across the country, and we can’t wait to provide the winner with their trip to New Orleans!  It’s by far the most fitting way to celebrate the launch of our new Mudville Catmaster Nightlife products!”
