South Bend Sporting Goods has formed a partnership with the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) and will launch the Zoo Kids® brand of fishing and outdoor related products for children under the age of six at the 2011 ICAST Fishing Tackle Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The partnership will foster childrens’ appreciation and learning about the outdoors and animals, bring families together in fun, affordable activities, all through a unique retail program. For every purchase of a Zoo Kids 1-piece fishing combo, a child will receive a free admission to any accredited AZA Zoo or Aquarium throughout the United States.
The Zoo Kids Free Child’s Admission program adds the Power of the Zoo to an already incredible value in entry-level, outdoor products for children. For retailers expanding into the family outdoor market, the Zoo Kids program has the two-for-one value that many money conscious families are looking for today.
Zoo Kids introduce three animal characters: Panda, Penguin and Tiger on colorful 30-inch, 1-piece spincast combos, pre-spooled with monofilament and a casting plug. Designed to entertain and educate pre-school children, the Zoo Kids combos are easy to use and will provide hours of safe family fun.
