Big Horn Armory’s Brand Ambassador Ray Livingston to Feature on Season 12 of HISTORY Channel’s “Mountain Men”

Ray Livingston will use his BHA Model 90 in .460S&W Magnum during his time on Season 12 of “Mountain Men.”

Cody, Wyo. (August 2023) – Big Horn Armory (BHA), makers of big-bore firearms, is excited to announce that its Brand Ambassador, Ray Livingston, will be a featured cast member on Season 12 of the popular HISTORY Channel series, “Mountain Men.” The new season is set to premiere on Thursday, Aug. 24 at 8/7c (available to stream the next day).

Livingston, known for his prowess as an elite hunter, outdoor survivalist, and search and rescue K9 handler, will showcase his remarkable skills and deep connections with nature in this season of “Mountain Men.” During his time on the show, Livingston will utilize the powerful BHA Model 90 in .460 S&W Magnum, which he has named “The Reaper,” as part of his partnership with BHA.

“I am thrilled and honored to be a part of Season 12 of ‘Mountain Men’ and to represent Big Horn Armory. This opportunity allows me to share my passion for the wilderness and display the incredible capabilities of Big Horn Armory’s firearms,” remarked Livingston. “As an outdoor enthusiast, I believe in the importance of responsible and ethical practices, and I’m excited to demonstrate how Big Horn Armory’s products align with these values while thriving in the rugged landscapes of Northeast Washington.”

The Model 90 in .460 S&W Magnum is built from the ground up and solidly engineered using the latest CNC technology. It embodies the best of the old Model 86 and Model 92 lever action in a modern platform capable of handling the powerful .460 S&W Magnum. The rifle is manufactured with 17-4 stainless steel precision machined and properly hardened to deliver consistent downrange performances and rugged in-the-field dependability.

The stock and forend are fitted with integral front and stud rear sling swivel mounts. The pistol-grip buttstock has a one-inch recoil-taming pad. Stock and forend are given several coats of a durable synthetic satin finish. The large hunter-friendly curved lever enables ease of operation, especially with gloved hands.

“Having Ray as our Brand Ambassador has been an exceptional partnership for us,” commented Greg Buchel, President of Big Horn Armory. “His dedication to the outdoors, his expertise in survival, and his commitment to ethical practices perfectly align with our brand values. We are proud to see him represent Big Horn Armory on Season 12 of ‘Mountain Men,” showcasing the capabilities of our firearms in some of the most challenging environments. Ray’s presence on the show exemplifies the spirit of adventure and resilience that defines both Big Horn Armory and the ‘Mountain Men’ series.”

Livingston’s participation in “Mountain Men” is a testament to his exceptional abilities and unwavering commitment to the wilderness lifestyle. Hailing from diverse and challenging environments worldwide, Livingston has now chosen the Kettle Range of Northeast Washington as his new home. With a small plot of land surrounded by a national forest, Livingston plans to build a homestead and thrive amidst the region’s abundant yet formidable natural resources.

One of his distinguishing attributes is his role as a predator and nuisance animal abatement specialist. Residing in an environment teeming with cougars, wolves, bears, and coyotes, Livingston frequently receives calls from rural landowners seeking his expertise in dealing with problematic wildlife. Operating within the legal constraints of the State of Washington, where certain practices are prohibited, Livingston employs his extensive knowledge of animal behavior to maintain a delicate balance through non-lethal means.

“Mountain Men,” the long-running HISTORY Channel series, provides an ultimate look into the lives of individuals who have chosen to embrace the rugged mountain lifestyle, foregoing modern conveniences to forge an independent way of life. Season 12 features a diverse set of pioneers, each with unique skills and expertise that contribute to their connection with nature.
