Westport, Conn. (September 28, 2016) – Shell Shock Technologies, LLC., an early stage technology and manufacturing company focused on developing innovative case technologies for the ammunition industry, is pleased to announce a range buy-back program for spent NAS3 shell cases with Anderson Arms (through their subsidiary, Oak Island Ammunition).

The purpose of the program is to offer any range a convenient opportunity to sell spent NAS3 shell cases collected at their facility. Anderson will match the price per pound ranges currently receive for used brass. Anderson is fully equipped to reload NAS3 cases as part of a remanufactured target ammunition program.

Shell Shock’s NAS3 nickel-alloy shell cases are magnetic and can be easily picked up or sorted with a magnet. They are also much more durable than brass and testers have reported achieving up to 40 reloads.

“We are very excited to have Anderson Arms as part of our team to support range operations. They have the scale and expertise to service a national buy-back program and will insure that ranges have a market to sell spent NAS3 cases,” commented Craig Knight, CEO of Shell Shock Technologies.

Anderson Arms, located in Avon Park, Florida, is one of the largest suppliers of remanufactured ammunition in the country. They have the capacity to purchase and process millions of cases and are known for their excellent customer service.

Shell Shock NAS3 Casings

Shell Shock’s NAS3 9mm cases are 50 percent lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, tensile strength (2x stronger) and elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack or grow (stretch) and are fully-reloadable with Shell Shock’s custom reloading dies. NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. NAS3 cases eject cool to-the-touch and can be picked up with a magnet. The head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification.

NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.093 FPS (124 grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, 10 rounds, extreme variation 3fps).
